Mickey Shaped Beignets and POG Juice

To continue with our Disney Food Friday posts, we decided to try and make some beignets and POG juice for a fun snack at home! You can watch our YouTube video here.

Instead of making beignets from scratch and frying them in oil, we used a can of biscuits and made them in our air fryer!

All the ingredients you need are as follows:

  • Can of biscuits
  • Flour for rolling biscuit dough flat
  • Spray for the air fryer basket

That’s it! Now, I did do an experiment and brush melted butter on top of some of them before I fried them just to see how they tasted. I honestly liked the ones that we didn’t put butter on better. So you definitely don’t need the butter, but if you want, it won’t hurt them.

Also, if you don’t have an air fryer, there are a ton of recipes out there that show you how to fry and make them from scratch! I’ll share a few links here…

This recipe is SO easy! First spread out some flour on parchment paper or a clean, flat surface. Then flatten each individual biscuit until they are big enough for the cookie cutter you want to use.

We cut ours into Mickey shapes, but you can use whatever cookie cutter you want!

Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees.

Next, spray your air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray. Lay the biscuits inside, being careful not to overlap them or stack them on top. I was able to do four at a time in my air fryer. Cook for about 10 minutes, flipping halfway through. Watch them towards the end because they will start to turn brown quickly.

Let them cool off for a few seconds, then dip them in or sprinkle them with powdered sugar!

Now we need to make the POG juice! This juice is served at several different restaurants at Walt Disney World and at the Aulani Resort in Hawaii. It’s also called Jambo Juice and Jungle Juice, depending on what restaurant you are dining in.

We used the recipe straight from Disney Parks Blog, which you can find here.

All you need is Orange Juice, Passion Fruit Juice and Guava Juice.

We couldn’t find Guava Juice at our stores here, but we found Guava Nectar, which I have seen listed in some recipes online so I figured it would be okay!

Basically to make one whole pitcher of POG Juice, you need to mix 4 cups of each ingredient together. That’s it! It’s SO delicious and SO refreshing! I can’t wait to make this again during the summer on a hot day!

And that is it for today my friends! I hope you have fun making some delicious treats! If you make these, tag me on Instagram (pixie.dust.mom) because I would love to see it! Until next time, have a magical day and see ya real soon!
