We all know that Disney World and Disneyland have the best Mickey shaped treats! But when you’re not at the parks, you can still enjoy some yummy treats at home too!
This recipe is very simple and requires no baking! Your kids will love to help you out with this one!
Here’s what you need:
- Melting chocolates. I used vanilla and milk chocolate for this recipe but you don’t have to have both.
- Rice Krispies Cereal
- Marshmallows- to make the rice krispies
- Butter- to make the rice krispies
- Candy canes

The melting chocolates were so easy to use. I microwaved them until they were soft and then stirred them with a spoon until it was melted completely.

I used a rolling pin to crush up the candy canes. I tried to get them as fine as I could, but this is totally your preference!

After I made the Rice Krispies according to the package, I let it cool and then used my cookie cutters to cut out my Mickey shapes!

I found this whole set of cookie cutters on Amazon for 6 or 7 dollars!

I initially tried to dip the cakes into the chocolate, but I ended up spreading the chocolate on with this icing spreader which seemed to work better and cover it better. I also ended up using the spreader to drizzle chocolate over them at the end after I sprinkled with the peppermint pieces!

After I spread the chocolate over the cake, I used a spoon to scoop and sprinkle the peppermint pieces!

You can leave it like this as is, or you can drizzle more chocolate over the top to add another layer to extra goodness! I think I like them better like that actually, but to each his own!

And there you have it, easy as can be! I would love hear how these turned out for you! If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know! And don’t forget to follow me on Instagram (pixie.dust.mom) and Facebook (Pixie Dust Mom)!
Mickey Shaped Rice Krispy Peppermint Chocolate Treats
- Make Rice Krispy treats according to package instructions.
- Cut out shapes with cookie cutters.
- Melt chocolate in microwave until soft, then stir with spoon until all the way melted.
- Break up peppermint candy canes into little pieces (I used a rolling pin and basically smashed it on the candy canes in a plastic bag!).
- Spread chocolate over rice krispy treat.
- Sprinkle peppermint pieces over the top.
- You can drizzle more chocolate over top of this to add even more flavor! If you melt more than one type of chocolate, you can switch it up and do two flavors on one treat!
